On May 20, 2015, the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law will host a public symposium entitled Free, Prior and Informed Consent that will focus on crucial decisions facing Indigenous peoples while providing an opportunity to discuss the importance of free, prior and informed consent, as well as its status in Canadian and international law.
