On 12 November 2014, the European Coalition for Corporate Justice (ECCJ) and Frank Bold will organise a high-level conference, The EU’s Business? Ensuring Remedy for Corporate Human Rights Abuses. The event aims at highlighting the current legal and policy challenges to the implementation of the third pillar of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the EU. Participants will be encouraged to contribute to a constructive debate on potential solutions to improve access to justice in the EU, and to reflect upon the role the European institutions should play to ensure that effective remedy for corporate abuses becomes a reality.
