The University of Washington School of Law’s Center for Advanced Study & Research on Innovation Policy (CASRIP) presents the 2016 Global Innovation Law Summit July 22, 2016.
The Global Innovation Law Summit brings together thought leaders from around the world to discuss the most up-to-date issues confronting innovation economies (and aspiring knowledge-based economies). Developed from the renowned CASRIP High Tech Summit, the Global Summit builds from that strong network to explore the full range of IP, technology, and creative content legal and policy issues. The Global Summit also provides a signature capstone and networking opportunity for the popular CASRIP Summer Institute.
To close the day-long Global Summit, we are pleased to announce that The Honorable Maria A. Pallante, U.S. Register of Copyrights and Director of the United States Copyright Office, will deliver the 2016 Distinguished Roger L. Shidler Lecture titled “From Monkey Selfies to Open Source: The Essential Interplay of Creative Culture, Technology, Copyright Office Practice, and the Law.”
