The Global Legal Studies Center (University of Wisconsin Law School) invites proposals for the GLS speaker series for 2015-16. Nominations of speakers working on aspects of global, international and comparative law that would be of wide interest and that represent interesting and innovative viewpoints will be welcomed. In addition to a public lecture, presenters will workshop a paper and will receive feedback on their work.
Nominations, including name, link to bio (or short bio), and the reason for proposing that individual, should be made by a faculty or staff member, with endorsement from at least three other faculty or staff members, and should be emailed by April 15, 2015 to:
Sumudu Atapattu
Director, Research Centers
UW Law School
sumudu.atapattu@wisc.edu.
Due to budgetary constraints the Center asks that nominations please be restricted to speakers from North America and Mexico. While the Center is unable to offer an honorarium, it may be able to apply for University of Wisconsin funding to cover an honorarium. Proposals will be evaluated by the GLS Steering Committee and it hopes to accept up to four nominations per year.
