The Asia Pacific Law Review (APLR) and the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law at the City University of Hong Kong School of Law will host a conference on the Occupy Central Movement on September 18-19, 2015. The conference will address mapping the future development of democracy and citizens’ movements in Hong Kong, the relationship between Hong Kong and the Central Government, as well as the impact of Hong Kong’s citizens’ movement on the development of the rule of law and democracy in mainland China.
Abstracts (500 word maximum) on the following sub-themes should be submitted to lwrccl@cityu.edu.hk by May 1, 2015.

1) Civil Disobedience and the Rule of Law;
2) Implication of the Occupy Central Movement on Local Politics;
3) Implication of the Occupy Central Movement on Central-Local Relations;
4) Social Implication of the Occupy Central Movement;
5) Impact of the Occupy Central Movement on the Rule of Law Development and Democratization in mainland China; and
6) The Occupy Central Movement in International Context.
