The Business History Conference invites proposals for its 2013 annual meeting, taking place March 2123, 2013, in Columbus, Ohio. The theme is The Cultures and Institutions of Business; the program committee will also consider papers not directly related to the theme. Paper abstracts and panel proposals are due Oct. 1, 2012.
Prizes will be awarded for the best dissertation in business history (the Herman E. Krooss Prize), the best first paper presented by a new scholar (the K. Austin Kerr Prize), and a paper making a significant contribution to the history of corporate responsibility (the CEBC-Halloran Prize in the History of Corporate Responsibility).
The Oxford Journals Doctoral Colloquium in Business History will be held in conjunction with the BHC annual meeting, March 20-21, 2013. Applications are due Dec. 1, 2012.
