Conf.: First Amend. Marketplace Morass – Williamsburg, VA

William & Mary School of Law

The William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice presents the 2020 Symposium: First Amendment Marketplace Morass: Free Speech Jurisprudence and its Interactions with Social Justice on Feb. 28, 2020 in Williamsburg, VA.

This Symposium will focus on the First Amendment and its resounding legal effects on issues pertaining to race, gender, social justice, and the gray areas in between these pillars. We aim to examine questions such as (a) which stories are being told at the expense of/to the detriment of others, (b) who all belongs to “the people”, and (c) who gets the benefit of these rights, and who does not?
