Utah - SJ Quinney

The University of Utah S.J.Quinney College of Law –Eminent ecologist, Jeremy B. C. Jackson, Professor of Oceanography Emeritus at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Senior Scientist Emeritus at the Smithsonian Institution, on February 14th will discuss, as part of the Stegner Center Green Bag Series, his newest book: Breakpoint – Reckoning with America’s Environmental Crises. The lecture, beginning at 12:15 p.m., offers an insightful look at the American environmental crisis and emerging solutions from the heartland to the coasts in the era of global climate change. The event is free and open to the public. In a second lecture on February 14th, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Professor Jeremy B. C. Jackson will discuss Humanity’s Evolving Relationship to the Ocean: Re-Valuing the Ocean.  This lecture, also free and open to the public, is sponsored by the University of Utah Global Change and Sustainability Center, the Natural History Museum of Utah, the S.J.
