The Florence School of Regulation, Communications & Media (FSR C&M), the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) and the Florence Competition Programme (FCP) present the Annual Scientific Seminar on Media and the Digital Economy on March 21-22, 2019, in Florence, Italy. The deadline for submissions is  Jan. 18, 2019. ***New extended deadline of January 18, 2019.***

Seeking policy-oriented research in economics and law covering media markets and the digital economy, broadly defined. The seminar brings together scholars and practitioners across the social sciences for policy-oriented examination of these rapidly-changing markets. Submissions relating to the economic, social and political impacts of digital markets are welcome, including: competition issues in digital platforms, the impact of emerging technology, privacy regulation, and the political economy of media. The final programme will include 14-16 papers over a two-day period.
