“Opportunities and Challenges in Regulating Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. A comparative approach” – Italy

EUI Law Department and Tech and Law, in collaboration with Google and Tech Policy Lab will host the conference Opportunities and Challenges in Regulating Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. A comparative approach on May 18-19, 2019.

Disruptive innovations in Robotics and AI is rapidly changing the economy, government and society. Progress of technology has not only brought excitement about the positive potential for AI and robotics, but also raised concerns about the possible implications on safety, privacy, fairness, equality and democratic control. A worldwide debate involving Technologist, lawyers and policy makers is now ongoing on how to regulate AI.

The conference “Opportunities and Challenges in Regulating Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. A comparative approach” will give a global comparative perspective on laws and regulations on robotics and artificial intelligence in the European Union and the United States.
