Judicialization of International Law Conference–Oslo, NOR

European Society of International Law ESIL

The European Society of International Law (ESIL) will hold its 11th Annual Conference, “The Judicialization of International Law–A Mixed Blessing?,” on Sept. 10-12, 2015 at the University of Oslo.

“The conference theme is the judicialization of international law. International courts and tribunals are increasing in number, impact and importance. They have been seen as offering more effective and legitimate world governance. But critics fear the increasing judicialization of world politics. The conference will address the international law aspects of the increased judicialization from an interdisciplinary perspective.”
