Proposal Deadline: Call for Host Law Schools – Legal Writing Institute – 2018

Legal Writing Institute

The Board of Directors of the Legal Writing Institute seeks proposals from schools interested in hosting the 2018 LWI Biennial Conference.

As it has done for a number of years, the Board is working with a professional meeting planner, at no cost to LWI, to assist it in identifying possible hotel locations for the 2018 conference. Though it is investigating hotel options, the Board would also like to consider options for hosting the conference at a law school in order to minimize costs for our members and maximize the potential profits to fund LWI’s programs. Accordingly, the Board is asking law schools interested in hosting the 2018 Biennial Conference to submit a proposal by May 15, 2015. The Board hopes to have several proposals from law schools or consortia of law schools, as well as one proposal for a hotel or resort-based conference, to compare and consider. The Board expects to make a decision about the location for the 2018 conference by mid-summer 2015.

All applications must be submitted by May 15, 2015.  The completed application and letter from your Dean can be mailed to Prof. Samantha A. Moppett, Suffolk University Law School, 120 Tremont Street, Suite 370D, Boston, MA  02108 or e-mailed to Prof. Moppett at smoppett@suffolk.edu

For more information, please contact Prof. Moppett (above) or Prof. Alison Julien, (alison.julien@marquette.edu), as well as the 2018 Policies and Procedures and the 2018 Application.
